TranStream Usage Policy
Translation time and service guidelines
TranStream provides real-time speech and chat translation. These guidelines explain how service use and translation time are handled.
Speech translation
- Time is deducted only while translation is running.
- No time is deducted when you cancel source selection or stop before the connection starts.
- If a connection drops or the browser closes, the session is cleaned up and unused reserved time is restored.
Time deduction rules
- Speech translation consumes time only while an active session is running, measured by the second.
- No time is consumed if you cancel before selecting a source or if the connection fails before starting.
- When a session starts, time is reserved in 60-second blocks and settled against actual usage when it ends.
- If the browser closes, the connection drops or audio sharing ends, the session is cleaned up and unused reserved time is restored.
- Translation time is tied to the account and is not transferable or cash-refundable. Payment errors or duplicate charges can be reviewed through support.
Speaker-colored captions
Speaker colors are optional and off by default. Colors appear only when the engine identifies speaker turns; they do not represent gender or identity, and accuracy may vary with the audio.
Chat translation
Chat translation time is calculated from the length of the submitted text. Failed translation requests do not consume time.
Adding time
Prices and payment terms are shown on the checkout screen. Translation time is added to your account after payment is completed.
Policy changes
These guidelines may change as the service, pricing or payment environment evolves. Updates will be reflected on this page.
